Destination Wedding Planning

Planning your wedding is one of the happiest events you will ever experience. Wedding planning can be stressful, however without experienced, professional assistance. Many family members and friends will try to help you, but instead they may become overwhelming with one too many suggestions.

As a Certified Destination Wedding Specialist, I will be able to help you with all of your destination wedding planning, stress free. My experience will allow me to suggest the perfect destination and resort for your special day. Once we have chosen the place I  will then put together all of the travel plans for you and your guests. We will then coordinate with the wedding professional on-site. When you arrive at your destination wedding, you will need to sign a few papers at the most and then get ready for the most important day of your life! Before the wedding, all of your beauty services will have been reserved. Nothing will be left for the last minute.

Many couples whether for a first marriage or a second marriage or even renewal of vows choose Destination Weddings. There are many reasons to plan a Destination Wedding. Among those many reasons are:

1.    Creating a wedding different from those of other family members or friends

2.    Beautiful beach, garden or mountain surroundings not available at home

3.    Warm or exotic climate

4.    Less costly  in many cases than a large wedding at home

5.    Romance of eloping

The first step in planning your destination wedding is deciding where you want to be married. Sit with your fiancée and make a list of the amenities you want surrounding you during your wedding.  Is it the backdrop of beaches, mountains, or ancient castles? Once you have agreed on the type of backdrop, then you must decide what destination can bring you that ambiance.

When deciding on the destination for your big day, there are many important factors to keep in mind. Most importantly, not all destinations accept non-– citizens for official marriages. You must choose wisely.

Each destination has “residency” requirements. They vary from country to country. Some islands only require 24 hours and some countries require 6 months to a year for bride and/or groom to live in the destination.

Are you inviting guests? Think about your guests and their ability to travel to your chosen destination. Will your most important guests be able to join you? Is the destination too far or too expensive for them? If expense is the issue, some brides and grooms subsidize the cost of travel for important guests.

Other important decisions include setting the date (consider seasonal weather conditions in the destination), invitations, passports, luggage allowances, and required documents for the wedding ceremony.

Decisions, decisions…Let me help you with your planning for an easy, non-stressful destination wedding.
